Cherry Blossoms

We had some fun going to see the World Famous Cherry Blossoms in DC by the Basin.

They are in full bloom, so it was perfect timing to see them face to face. There were thousands of people when we went. We went on Sunday morning and the Cherry Blossom Run was ending. We had to pass some runners just to get to the Basin.

We finally made it and here are some pictures.

It was a BRISK morning. We parked by the Reflection Pond/Botanical Gardens and walked The Mall to get to the Basin. We had on "Spring" clothing, although it was in the 40s.....it was suppose to be in the 70s that day....but being from TX, we wished for the best and by 10:30am, the weather was bearable.

Here is Caitlin holding on to her Zoey (gift from Jonathan and Karianne for Easter) trying to keep warm. My poor little girl in her Spring Dress.

The Cherry Blossoms tress were in front of us, that's why there are shadows.

More Cherry Blossoms on the Basin
We are thinking about renting some paddle boats next time we go down to the Basin. It really looked like fun....although Conor is completely AGAINST the idea.

Kathy and Ben are flying in on Thursday night and we are going back to the Basin on Friday, after we have our Capitol tour by the office of Rep. Olsen. I should have many many pictures then b/c I forgot my bigger camera at home.
