Happy 6th Anniversary!

July 6th was our 6th anniversary!!

WOW, how time flies by.

Nothing really HUGE happened this anniversary.
We have a planned trip with some friends to go to the river and go tubing.

So we took the kids to Galveston and we went to Rainforest Cafe.
It was a special treat for all of us.
Originally I wanted to go to the beach and have a family day......but with temps hitting 100..no thanks!

The kids...........NOT TOO SURE about the frog. PLUS, it was HOT to sit on.

I guess you can tell Caitlin DOES NOT like the frog at all.

This is such a great picture of Conor. He likes to pose alot more lately.

Inside, the kids were way excited. There are trees everywhere. Animals on the walls...I am sure I am giving a horrible account of what the place looks like...but one thing was apparent, this place was DARK and it was REALLY hard to take a picture with my camera.

So we ate...no camera for that!
They were pushing a volcano dessert that was a mound of ice cream surrounded by brownies and drenched in hot fudge. It was too much for us to order, but we saw quite a few of them fly by. Every time one comes out of the kitchen, the employees scream "VOLCANO" and run through the restaurant with a sparkler on the dessert. Rainforest Cafes are not the place to have a romantic or quiet dinner. They are loud, fun, and full of action.
SOOOOO, we HAD to get one for our anniversary, right??

As you can see...Conor was just a little scared of the whole firework thing....I mean, he just saw them in the sky on July 4th and now it's right there in front of him....it literally freaked him out for a bit.

But that didn't matter to daddy...he was all over it!!!

And NO we didn't finish the dessert, even between us 4 it was still too much.
I mean Caitlin was even saying "no, no, no" that's enough!
"i'm full"

So that was it. That was the extent of our anniversary. Fun, eh?? After 2 kids in 6 years time...excitement only comes every now and then. Since I just started this blog...you are probably thinking, "what a boring couple with kids"...well let's see....

Anniversary
#1: pregnant with Conor
#2: Patrick in grad school
#3: trip to family reunion in OH
#4: JUST had Caitlin
#5: BOUGHT a house (literally signed paperwork on the price of our new house...nice eh?)
#6: going on trip with adult friends :)

So as the kiddos get older, we are getting better organized and having some real fun together again!!
And now onto our next adventure.......
